WARNING - Reloading should not be carried out by those persons who are unable or unwilling to follow instructions to the letter. Failure to carry out reloading instructions properly may result in serious injury or death to the reloader, shooter or bystanders.
WARNING - As retailers and manufacturers have no control over how the reloader uses their equipment, products and information they disclaim all liability for damage, injury or death that may result. Load safety and best reloading practice is YOUR responsibility.
Reloading is a simple 4
step procedure as shown in the pictures.
Step 1. Remove the spent primer and resize the case.
This step is usually carried out using the same die. The die removes the spent primer and resizes the case either full length or the neck only.
Step 2. Install a new primer.
This step can be carried out on or off the press depending on the type of press. On press priming can take place using a LEE Ram Prime or if available a priming arm as supplied with the LEE Turret, Classic and Challenger Breech Lock Presses. Off press you can use the LEE Auto Prime which is the most popular priming tool ever made.
Step 3. Add the powder.
This step can be carried out using a Powder Scoop and Funnel, Scales and Funnel or with on or off press mounted powder dispenser like the LEE Perfect Powder Measure. A powder dispenser can be set to any powder charge and will dispense a uniform charge time and time again.
Step 4. Seat the bullet.
This step is carried out using a bullet seating die. The die seats the bullet to the correct depth and will usually roll crimp the case. The case can also be factory crimped which gives you more accurate ammunition.
What equipment will you need?
For a basic setup you will need a Press, Priming Tool, Powder Measure & Funnel, Dies and Lubricant.
